Lauren Goodger has announced the tragic news that her newborn baby has died. The former The Only Way is Essex star confirmed the heartbreaking news on Sunday (July 9) following giving birth to a little girl on Friday, July 8.
She was expecting her second child with on-off boyfriend Charles Drury, 24, eight months after the couple welcomed their first child, Larose. In an emotional statement, Lauren shared that she had given birth to a daughter they had named Lorena but that she died after not suffering any pregnancy or labour complications.
Taking to Instagram, the reality star shared a black and white photo of her holding onto Lorena's tiny hand. "She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … " the heartbroken mum penned.

"Words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me."
She continued: "She was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar. I am broken. I am back home from hospital. Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet."
Lauren, 35, added: "Larose she is my rock that’s getting me through this or I wouldn’t survive… I will never ever get over this but I will learn how to live everyday with Lorena in my heart she will be with me always and I will be with her again one day … My [angel] Lorena I love you so much."
Charles commented on Lauren's post, sharing a heart and a world emoji before writing: " She will always be with us." Lauren was also quickly flooded with support from her fellow TV stars and fans.
TOWIE star Amy Childs wrote: "Sending you love Lauren." Make-up artist N atasha Sandhu replied " I am so so heart broken for you. I’m so sorry. It hurts reading this I can’t even begin to imagine how you are feeling, sending you so so much love and prayers and strength."
Lauren revealed earlier this year that she and Charles had fallen pregnant just eight weeks after she gave birth to their first child, and while they are no longer in a romantic relationship, both of them wanted to go through with the pregnancy.
