A former TK Maxx worker has shared secrets and top tips for when you’re next visiting the retailer.
TK Maxx is loved for offering its customers designer items for a fraction of the cost, but there are ways you could save even more at its stores.
No matter how much you consider yourself an experienced TK Maxx shoppers there will be some store secrets and hacks which you may not be aware of.

TikTok user @emily_hodgsonx claims she used to work at the popular retailer and shared a number of tips and secrets from her time at the store.
Here’s what Emily had to say:
Watch what you buy
“Nine times out of 10 the makeup or skincare that you're buying has been opened and tested so make sure you watch what you're buying”.
The best time to shop
“The best time to shop is around 10am or 11am, once they've put all the new, fresh stock out”.
Discounted items
“The makeup or cosmetics that go into clearance are usually broken or damaged or used, and usually they only knock 99p off so its worth buying the full priced one, unless its had multiple mark-downs.”
Beware of the food and drink
“I've lost count of the amount of times I've found out of date food and drinks that customers have already bought, started eating and drinking and complained that it tastes funny. So, make sure you check the dates.”
A trick the staff use
“If you're buying a bag, a purse or a suitcase, we always have to unzip it and check inside that there's no other items in there.
“And if there are some in there we'd always have to ask the customers 'Oh did you want these?' and nine times out of 10 they'd always say no. I always make up an excuse that we're checking the zips work.”
