A former Strictly Come Dancing professional has given Helen Skelton some advice after her first dance yesterday on the BBC show.
James Jordan took to Twitter to give his feedback on all of the celebrities' first dances for the week one show. Jordan was a professional dancer on the show from 2006 until 2013.
When it came to Helen's American Smooth with partner Gorka Marquez, he praised the dance as 'wonderful'. The pair received a 26.
When Helen and Gorka performed, Jordan tweeted: "You clever boy Gorka. Clearly the best of the night so far and for week 1 amazing.
"Perfect couple - beautiful costumes - loved the musicality - wonderful. Just needs a little more light and shade and maybe softness of her spine. Didn’t expect that.
"BUT WONDERFUL."
He wrote that he would have given the couple an 8. Jordan went on to say that when Molly Rainford was told by judges she was the best so far, that Helen had really been the best so far.
Even when Will Mellor was praised for his jive and earned the joint highest score of the night, Jordan wrote "Helen was still better" on Twitter.
Will and partner Nancy Xu came joint top with Hamza Yassin and partner Jowita Przystal - both couples earned 34 for their dances in week one.
Strictly Come Dancing will air its next live show on Saturday, October 1.
