It appears former Steelers tight end Eric Ebron has seen all he needs to see in the Coach of the Year race. Ebron spent two years in the Black and Gold from 2020 to 2021, racking up 642 yards in 23 games and accumulating six touchdowns.
His short tenure with Pittsburgh seems to have left a lasting impression, as he is currently singing the praises of Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin, specifically highlighting Tomlin’s ability to silence critics.
With a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13, Tomlin officially secured 18 straight seasons with a winning record.
Ebron gave the ultimate compliment a coach could ever receive while making the case for Tomlin as the 2024 Coach of the Year: “There’s nobody realer out there. He’s the greatest coach I’ve ever had. And I done had some good coaches.”

Tomlin has never won the award, but his leadership of the 9-3 Pittsburgh Steelers through 13 weeks has been nothing short of impressive. During an uncertainty-filled 2024 offseason for the Black and Gold, Tomlin has made the impossible possible for the Steel City.
