Former servicemen's body wants clarity on Bihar 'quota' under Agnipath

PATNA: Bihar Ex-Servicemen Association (officers), BESA, has sought clarity from the ministry of defence that whether under the Agnipath scheme it would continue recruitment of around 1,000 aspirants from Bihar, which has so far been contributing about 11.5% personnel in the armed forces every year. The ministry of defence has already announced recruitment process for Agniveers in the Bihar region from October 7 to December 20, 2022.

BESA president Col (retd) V K Singh said Bihar has been contributing next to Uttar Pradesh in armed forces recruitmwnt every year.
