Former 'Resident Evil' Director Hideki Kamiya Says 'Requiem' Leakers Deserve 'A Thousand Deaths'

Former 'Resident Evil' director Hideki Kamiya has expressed his disgust at the leakers who have spoiled the upcoming "Resident Evil Requiem."

The release of the game is only a few days away, but that has not stopped leakers from sharing actual gameplay footage and spoilers online.

Hideki Kamiya Blasts Leakers

In a social media post that has been translated from Japanese to English, Kamiya expressed his anger.

"For your own selfish satisfaction, you're trampling all over the feelings of users who were looking forward to it, and the feelings of creators who poured their all into making it—a detestable act that destroys everyone's happiness and deserves a thousand deaths," Kamiya said in his post, according to Tech4Gamers.

"May you be cursed to never play games again," he added.

Capcom Pleads With 'Resident Evil' Community

Kamiya's social media outburst comes days after Capcom asked the "Resident Evil" community to stop sharing and posting "Requiem" leaks.

"We really want everyone to enjoy the game's story and experience as much as possible," Capcom said in a statement posted on social media.

"Our legal department will continue to issue takedowns and deletion notices for leaks in order to preserve your day-one-experience," the company assured.
