Former Airdrie and Rangers player Sandy Clark has left his role as assistant manager at Championship club Queen of the South.
Boss Allan Johnston has paid for a terrible run of Championship form, with the Doonhamers having won one league game since October 2nd.
Queen's are bottom, four points off the relegation play-off spot and seven points off safety entirely.
Clark is an icon at Airdrie, having made over 200 appearances for the Diamonds in the 70s and 80s. He also featured for West Ham, Rangers and Hearts.
The 65-year-old has managed Hamilton, Hearts, Partick Thistle, St Johnstone and Berwick Rangers. He's been Johnston's assistant at Palmerston since 2019.
Chairman Billy Hewitson said “It’s sad but we are in a results business and 4 wins in 24 isn’t good enough. The players were giving everything for them.
"We felt it was time for a change to try to push us up the table. We would like to thank both Allan and Sandy for their efforts."
