Former Rangers and Aberdeen star 'set for Motherwell'

Former Rangers and Aberdeen player Andy Dibble is set to be apointed the new goalkeeping coach at Motherwell.

The Steelmen have been on the hunt for replacement for Craig Hinchcliffe, who left the club last month to join Premiership rivals Dundee United after a five-year spell in ML1.

And now Daily Record report 57-year-old Dibble, who made seven appearances for Rangers in the 1996/97 on the way to their nine-in-a-row success and had a loan spell with the Dons in 1990 from Manchester City, is set to be unveiled as the new goalie coach.

Dibble brings a wealth of club experience in a career spanning 40 years and also has three international caps for Wales.

Motherwell are gearing up for a Europa Conference League second round qualifier with either Irish Sligo Rovers or Dibble's native Bala Town next month and he is set to join them ahead of their pre-season training camp in Austria at the start of July.

Dibble will be tasked with getting No.1 Liam Kelly and fellow shot-stoppers Scott Fox and Matthew Connolly in peak condition as the club also build towards their Scottish Premiership opener away to St Mirren on July 30.
