Several defensive tackles signed on with the Raiders last offseason on one-year deals. All were considered as somewhat of flyers and several of them panned out. The best of them was Quinton Jefferson, who put up career-best numbers, starting every game for Las Vegas.
Even still, the new staff didn’t retain him. And now he’s headed (back) to Seattle.
The #Seahawks are bringing back an old friend: DT Quinton Jefferson, who spent last year with the #Raiders, is signing back with Seattle.

Jefferson began his career in Seattle as a fifth round pick out of Maryland. After four seasons, he signed with the Bills. Then joined the Raiders. Where he played up to the hopes the Seahawks clearly had for him when they drafted him in the first place. So, they welcomed him back.
Across the board, Jefferson had career-best numbers. Including tackles (47), sacks (4.5), QB hits (16), tackles for loss (5), and forced fumbles (2). Each of those numbers led all Raiders interior defenders.
Other interior defenders who have not been brought back by the Raiders include Johnathan Hankins, Darius Philon, and Solomon Thomas. All of whom remain unsigned as of this moment.
The Raiders have thus far opted instead for free agent additions Andrew Billings and Bilal Nichols.
