Former President Trump recently met with deputies from the Martin County Sheriff's Office in Florida, who were responsible for apprehending the suspect accused of attempting to harm him while he was golfing at the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach.
A video shared by a Trump campaign spokesperson captured the moment when Trump welcomed the deputies at his Mar-a-Lago estate. In the video, Trump is seen expressing his appreciation for the deputies' actions, referring to them as 'good-looking human beings.'
All the deputies involved in the arrest of Ryan Routh, a 58-year-old individual from Hawaii, who was allegedly armed with a rifle during the incident, signed the handcuffs used in the arrest and presented them to Trump as a token of their successful operation.
Routh was taken into custody on Interstate 95 near West Palm Beach following the reported attempt on Trump's life. The incident occurred while Trump was engaged in a round of golf at the club.
The meeting between Trump and the deputies serves as a recognition of the law enforcement officers' swift and effective response to the situation, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals involved.
