On Monday evening, a somber vigil was held at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia, to mourn the passing of former President Jimmy Carter. The community came together to pay their respects to the beloved former leader.
As music filled the sanctuary, attendees lit candles and offered silent prayers in honor of Carter. The atmosphere was one of reverence and reflection as Pastor Ashley Guthas provided comfort to those in mourning throughout the two-hour service.
