Jake E. Lee, a former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, was shot and wounded multiple times in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning. Las Vegas police reported that the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. in a neighborhood approximately 10 miles south of the Strip. The victim was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment, and while no arrests have been made, the police department's investigation is ongoing.

A representative for Lee confirmed the shooting, stating that he was conscious and is expected to fully recover. The representative emphasized that due to the ongoing police investigation, no further comments will be provided, and Lee's family requests privacy at this time.

The shooting occurred while Lee was walking his dog, according to his representative. Fortunately, he sustained no major organ injuries, is fully responsive, and is anticipated to make a complete recovery, as confirmed by his band manager.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised in San Diego, the 67-year-old Lee made his mark in the glam metal scene of Los Angeles' Sunset Strip during the 1980s. He notably played guitar in various bands, including an early version of Ratt. Lee joined Ozzy Osbourne's band in 1982 and contributed to albums such as 1983's 'Bark at the Moon' before departing in 1987. Subsequently, he played with the metal band Badlands, released solo albums, and currently leads Red Dragon Cartel.

The incident has garnered attention and concern within the music community, with fans and colleagues expressing support for Lee's swift recovery. Further updates on the investigation and Lee's condition are awaited as authorities continue their inquiries into the shooting.
