The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Thursday that they have added former NBA player D.J. White to their coaching staff as a video analyst.
White is the fifth former Thunder player working with the franchise in a non-playing role. The other four are Nick Collison, Nazr Mohammed, Eric Maynor and Anthony Morrow.
White played six seasons in the NBA from 2008-2014 with three different teams in the Thunder, Boston Celtics and Charlotte Hornets/Bobcats. In 138 career games, White averaged 5.9 points and 3.2 rebounds on 50.7% shooting.
White spent the first 2 1/2 seasons of his career with the Thunder after being selected 29th in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. White was part of the inaugural Thunder team during the 2008-09 season.
