Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Jermaine Jenas has been banned from driving for six months after being caught using his mobile phone behind the wheel. Jenas, who was born in Clifton and became the Reds' youngest ever captain at the age of 18, went on to play for Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and England after starting his footballing career at the City Ground.
Jenas, who later returned for a short loan spell at Forest in 2012 under the helm of former Reds boss Sean O'Driscoll, was driving a black Range Rover in North London on October 14 last year. As well as using his phone behind the wheel, Jenas was also caught doing 65mph in a 50mph zone on a stretch of the M25 on March 4.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to driving whilst using his mobile phone and speeding at Willesden Magistrates' Court earlier this month. Following his court appearance, he was given a six-month driving ban, given six penalty points and was fined £660 for the first offence.

He co-presents The One Show on BBC One, appears on BBC One's Match of the Day and BBC Three spin off MOTDX.
