Former Nottingham Forest striker Karim Ansarifard has made the headlines when coming up against Premier League giants Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Erik Ten Hag’s side have made the journey over to Cyprus to take on Omonia Nikosia in the group stage of the competition. United went into the game as strong favourites, but were staring a shock result in the face going into the second half of the game.
And it’s thanks to former Forest man Ansarifard. Despite the Red Devils having over 70 percent possession in the game, the striker was on hand to nicely finish a Omonia breakaway to put the Cypriot side into the lead in the 34th minute. Marcus Rashford has since equalised for Man United with Anthony Martial making it 2-1.
