Baba Fernandes' immediate future continues to look uncertain after suffering a potential transfer blow following his Nottingham Forest release.
The defender, who made just two appearances for Forest in the Carabao Cup last year before being released this summer, had been on trial at Luton Town. The 22-year-old had started in the Hatters' 3-0 pre-season win over Hitchin Town earlier this month before missing out last weekend.
Fernandes will now be looking to sign terms elsewhere with Luton boss Nathan Jones confirming that it is not the 'right time' to bring him in as they continue looking for other additions elsewhere.

Speaking after his side's 2-1 win over Nothampton Town at the weekend, he confirmed: "That's someone we haven't pursued after.
"He did really well for us, but maybe not the right time to bring him at the minute."
At the time of his release, Fernandes had been monitored by a number of Championship clubs, such as Coventry City and Cardiff City.
