The Houston Texans, where Jones spent the first five seasons of his career, confirmed his death on Sunday. The cause of his passing has not been disclosed at this time.

Jones had a successful NFL career spanning from 2007 to 2015, playing for teams such as the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, San Diego Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He made significant contributions to the Ravens during their Super Bowl title season, including pivotal plays in crucial games.

One of Jones' most iconic moments came during the Ravens' playoff game against the Denver Broncos in January 2013, known as the 'Mile High Miracle.' He caught a 70-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, leading the Ravens to a thrilling victory in double overtime.

During the Super Bowl that same postseason against the San Francisco 49ers, Jones made history with a 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, the longest in Super Bowl history. His performance helped secure a 34-31 victory for the Ravens in the championship game.
