Former NFL cornerback and current Thursday Night Football analyst Richard Sherman was arrested for DUI in King County, Washington.
Sherman was booked at 4:51 am local time on Saturday morning at King County Correctional Facility, according to Sports Illustrated‘s review of the booking information. Washington State Patrol took Sherman into custody on the DUI charge.
This is the second time in two-and-a-half years that Sherman has been arrested for a driving-related violation. In March of 2022, Sherman pleaded guilty to first-degree negligent driving, second-degree criminal trespass and speeding in a construction zone related to an arrest in July of ’21.
Per Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Sherman’s latest infraction could lead to more issues down the line. The case from July of 2021 came with a penalty of two years of monitored supervision, and those two years have not yet elapsed.
Sherman was named first-team All-Pro three times in his playing career, and made five Pro Bowls. He was also a member of the 2013 Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl team.
