Former minister Sharana Prakash Patil embarks on padayatra in Karnataka

KALABURAGI: Former minister Sharana Prakash Patil has started padayatra at his constituency to introduce Congress programmes taken up earlier in state and how BJP government has Karnataka.

On Friday, he started the padayatra from Yanagundi to Sulepet, 70km apart. Pati told STOI that the padayatra is to create awareness among people about the good work done by Congress, and how BJP has failed to keep its promises.

“Congress is the only party which had participated in the Independence movement. But now, BJP are teaching us patriotism,” he claimed.

Padayatra, started at Yanagundi village in Gurumatkal taluk border village of Sedam constituency, will conclude at Sulepet in Chincholi taluk on Sunday.

District-level party leader participated in the padayatra. tnn
