Brian Hoyer was the first of a stretch of great MSU quarterbacks under Mark Dantonio in East Lansing. Since his time in East Lansing, Hoyer has carved out a nice role for himself in the NFL, starting in some places and being a backup in others. One thing is for sure, and that is Bill Belichick has a liking to Hoyer’s presence in New England.
Due to an injury to starting QB Mac Jones, Hoyer is getting called upon to start for the Patriots in their matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
