Brian Butler, who worked at Mar-a-Lago for over 20 years, found himself in the midst of a classified documents case involving the former president.
Butler's account sheds light on a series of events that took place in March 2022 at Mar-a-Lago. He recalls loaning an Escalade to one of Trump's co-defendants, Walt Nata, on the same day the Justice Department and the FBI arrived at the property to collect records. Butler later discovered that the boxes loaded into the Escalade contained classified documents, a fact he was unaware of at the time.
