Diego Forlan believes his Uruguayan compatriot Darwin Nunez will bring 'goals' and will continue to develop after completing a move to Liverpool for a fee that could rise to £85 million. The 22-year-old scored 34 goals in all competitions last season for Benfica.
The former Manchester United striker believes Nunez will flourish under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, who is one of the 'top three' coaches in the world.
Liverpool confirmed the transfer of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich on Wednesday afternoon. Nunez is being seen as a replacement for the man who won every major honour under Klopp at Anfield.

“What can Darwin Nunez bring to Liverpool? Obviously he’s still a young player, he’s still growing. He has a great set of skills, he scored a lot of goals at Benfica,” Forlan told 90min ES.
“I believe that one of the things he can bring is, without a doubt, goals. Then, as time goes on, he’ll keep growing on the technical aspect. He will get to know his abilities better and he will develop them more and more too, while also gaining experience.”
