Former Manchester United winger Nani has put pen to paper at Australian outfit Melbourne Victory - meaning he could take on the Reds this week. United will travel Down Under ahead of Friday’s match with the A-League club after taking on Liverpool in Bangkok at 2pm today.
Nani, 35, has signed for Melbourne on a two-year deal. He left Old Trafford in 2015 after scoring 41 times and tallying 73 assists in 229 matches, during which he lifted four Premier League titles, the Champions League and a Club World Cup.
The Portugal star has since played for Fenerbahce, Valencia, Lazio, Sporting Lisbon and Orlando Pirates. He became a free agent this summer after his six-month deal with Italian side Venezia ran dry.

Euro 2016 winner Nani could now line up against United for the first time since his exit, and he expects fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to be in raucous voice.
Speaking upon signing for Victory, the veteran said: “From what I have seen, the fans in Melbourne are not only the best in the league but they rival the atmosphere in Europe and I’m looking forward to being a part of that on the field in a Victory shirt and playing for them this season.”
After facing Melbourne, United play Crystal Palace next Tuesday (July 19) and Aston Villa on July 23 in Australia before travelling to Norway to face Atletico Madrid on July 30.
