Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster says he rejected a summer move to Wrexham and the chance to play for Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Foster retired in the summer after leaving Watford following the club's relegation from the Premier League but revealed Wrexham had been in touch about a deal for the 2022-23 season. The National League side have risen to prominence across the globe following their acquisition by Reynolds and McElhenney and are currently four points clear at the top of the table.
Foster spent time with the Dragons earlier in his career, lifting silverware with the club, and said he was approached about a return.

In an interview with Live Score, Foster said: "Wrexham were one of the clubs I got an offer from earlier in the season. I had a few offers. It would have been cool. I'm over the moon for them. It's good to see. The thing with Wrexham is it's such a football community and the people really care about that club.
"Even when I was there, they were going through tough times financially and had some owners they didn't quite trust. It's nice to see they've now got owners that really care about not only the club but the community."
Foster won the EFL Trophy during his loan spell at Wrexham from Stoke in 2005, before joining United in a £2million deal that summer. While he only made 23 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson's team, he forged a successful career in the Premier League and won eight caps for England.
