Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has admitted he is contemplating his future after helping Wrexham to secure promotion back to the EFL.
Following Notts County's victory over Maidstone United earlier in the day, the Red Dragons knew they needed to beat Boreham Wood to secure promotion to League Two. Despite conceding early to a Lee Ndlovu goal, Wrexham earned their Football League status thanks to an Elliot Lee equaliser and Paul Mullin brace.
Foster has featured in all seven matches since arriving in North Wales and while his deal is set to expire at the end of the campaign, he is keeping an open mind about extending his stay. Speaking to BBC Sport, the 40-year-old said: "You have to contemplate it because to be part of this team, to be part of Wrexham is a special thing. It really is.

"It's nice to be a man of leisure and freedom and stuff like that and I've really enjoyed my retirement, I've had a great time. What I will say is that I've enjoyed this so much - Wrexham is a really special club.
"The lads that we've got are absolutely top class and it's a pleasure to come to work with every single one of them, every single day. None of them moan and there's no big times - and in football there's so many big times - there's none of them in our dressing room and that's the bit for me that made me go: 'I've really enjoyed this' so much so that I will have to think about it."
If Foster does decide to leave the Racecourse Ground at the end of the season, he will depart as a hero. It was the ex-United man's penalty save to deny Cedwyn Scott that secured a crucial 3-2 victory over County on Easter Monday.
