Philippe Coutinho has been accused of wasting Aston Villa's time after securing a permanent switch from Barcelona in the summer of 2022.
The former Liverpool star is currently out of action with a hamstring injury, but has failed to nail down a starting role in the Villa side since Unai Emery took over from Steven Gerrard in October.
Villa's results have improved in recent months and they are now sixth in the Premier League - just four points away from Newcastle United in fourth.

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan was scathing of Coutinho for his form at Villa: “Part of the responsibility of a manager is to recognise when a player isn’t doing their job.
"Liverpool must be laughing all the way to the bank every single day that Coutinho has departed this particular part of England. He’s done very little for anybody else besides give Liverpool £142million.
“There was a reason why Coutinho could be bought for £15-20m, because he clearly wasn’t pulling up anywhere else. He’s been a disappointment and he’s wasted his own time along with Aston Villa’s.”
