Kemar Roofe could reportedly be on the way out of Rangers after emerging as a target for his old Championship rivals Derby County. The striker was at Leeds United during the 2018/2019 season in which the Whites and Derby struck up a fierce rivalry which culminated in the play-off semi-final capitulation at Elland Road.
He hit 15 goals in 33 Championship appearances that season before one season at Belgian outfit Anderlecht and then on to Rangers. The 29-year-old has 34 goals in 72 games for the Scottish side - including one in the Europa League quarter-final win over Braga.
But the 29-year-old has suffered with injuries, particularly towards the back end of this season, forcing 'Gers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst to add attacking firepower this summer. That has forced Roofe down the pecking order which has caught the attention of the League One Rams, with the Sunday Mirror reporting that they are weighing up an offer.

Despite his injury issues, the striker has been an important player for Rangers over the last two seasons, hitting double figures on both occasions and helping the Scottish side to a Scottish Premier League in 2021 and the Europa League final - where they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties.
He also has two years left on his contract at the Ibrox, with financially strapped Derby only really able to offer a loan move and unlikely to match the £4.5million Rangers paid for him in 2020.
Seeing Roofe in a Derby shirt would be a strange sight for Leeds fans. The striker was synonymous with the 2018/2019 rivalry, scoring twice in the 4-1 win and again in the 2-0 win that followed the infamous ‘spygate’ saga - he also bagged in the play-off first-leg at Pride Park.
Since that disastrous evening at Elland Road, Leeds and Derby have had polarising fortunes. The Whites regrouped and won promotion comfortably the following season, going on to finish ninth in the Premier League and then surviving a second season in May. Derby fell into administration after years of financial mismanagement by Mel Morris, suffering points deductions for a multitude of problems and being relegated to the English third-tier last season.
Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney spent last season in charge as the Rams fought against a 21-point deduction, but he has now left the club.
