Former Leeds United coach Carlos Corberan outlines next step after links with vacant roles

Carlos Corberan admits the next step in his managerial career must feel like the right one. The former Leeds United coach guided Huddersfield Town to the Championship play-off final last year, but would leave the John Smiths' Stadium later this summer.

A move to Greek side Olympiacos would follow, but the Spaniard would spend less than two months in charge, winning just two of his 11 games at the helm. Corberan has been linked with a return to English football with Hull City, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough all reportedly considering the 39-year-old.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Corberan said: "I think for me, it's very important that the club makes the right decision about which coach they want, which style they want on the football pitch. What is his vision, or the vision of the club?

"But for the coaches, this decision is important too. To decide the which place is right to go, in which place you feel the connection from the first moment.

"In which place you're going to have the necessary support to achieve the target that the club wants. If it's the right place to go, then of course. When we are coaching, we love to coach.

"The worst moment for me and for a coach, is when you're without a team because the feeling you have when you can improve your players, to help your club and develop their resources, to go to the game and make your fans feel proud of the team, the feeling that you have when you achieve this - normally we feel this - this is the best thing that you can feel."
