Cagliari are reportedly monitoring former Leeds United and current Sampdoria midfielder Ronaldo Vieira as the January transfer window reaches its climax.
That is according to La Gazzetta dello Sport [via Tutto Cagliari], who claim that the Serie B side are focusing on Vieira and his fellow Sampdoria teammate Omar Colley.
Vieira is out of contract at Sampdoria at the end of the season and is currently fighting for survival in Serie A. Sampdoria have lost each of their last four league games and sit nine points adrift of safety in 19th place.

Cagliari, who are spearheaded by Premier League-winning manager Claudio Ranieri, are challenging for promotion to the Italian top-flight. They currently occupy a promotion play-off place in Serie B, but are eight points adrift of Genoa in the final automatic promotion slot.
Vieira emerged from Leeds' academy in 2016 and was presented with his Leeds debut under Steve Evans in a 1-1 draw against Preston North End at Deepdale in May 2016. He went onto enjoy a sensational breakthrough season at Elland Road and was rewarded with the club's Young Player of he Year award in 2016-17.
He featured on the CIES list of most promising players under the age of 20, which included the likes of Euro 2020 winner Gianluigi Donnarumma and 2018 World Cup champion Kylian Mbappe.
Sampdoria signed Vieira as a replacement for Lucas Torreira, who had just joined Premier League side Arsenal in the summer of 2018. The former England under-21 international played 71 times for the Whites, and has amassed 76 appearances over the last four-and-a-half seasons for Sampdoria after suffering from a number of injuries.
