A former League of Ireland manager and player who was hours away from death, has urged 'really ill' people not to shy away from seeking medical help, despite the current chronic pressure on emergency department services.
Describing himself as a 'stubborn mule', Robbie Horgan said it was only for his wife's insistence that he sought help at an emergency department, where he was rushed into the intensive care unit and urgently placed in an induced coma to battle against double pneumonia, Influenza A and Sepsis.
