TEN years after allegedly sexually abusing three teenage girls, a former dance teacher has told a jury he did nothing wrong.
Ryan Shane Hards, 29, faced Sydney's Downing Centre District Court on Monday, pleading not guilty to five abuse-related charges.
Prosecutor Andrew Lynch said that on three separate occasions in 2013 and 2014 Hards allegedly indecently assaulted three teenage girls, one of whom he is also accused of sexually assaulting.
Hards is alleged to have gained access to two of his alleged victims while working as a dance teacher.
The real estate agent is accused of indecently assaulting one girl in Corlette.
He allegedly touched her on the breast when she was 12 years old and touched her on the outside of her underwear when she was 14.
At nearby Nelson Bay, he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl. He is also accused of indecently assaulting the girl and her friend by sexually touching them while the trio lay together in bed.
Hards denies any wrongdoing.
"Not guilty," he said in response to each charge when arraigned in front of the jury.
Mr Lynch and defence barrister April Francis will give opening submissions when the trial recommences on Tuesday.
