Former Glasgow Airport work Jenny, who used to live in the Johnstone area, was “surprised” and “amazed” at her nomination for the awards.
She said: “I couldn’t believe it. And I was told that it was more than one nomination I got, which is amazing.
“I love training dogs and I found the passion when I travelled to Devon to train my own dog. This is where I discovered the love for dog training.
“It is very satisfying to see a dog that is pulling its owner about become more disciplined and have a greater bond with its owner in the end."
The former human resources director, whose pets are called Poppy and Finn, grew her business after she became a licensed dog trainer and offered her services to her family and friends.
She decided to start the business after her husband Neil passed away. Jenny, originally from Greenock, moved back to the Inverclyde town through Neil's work..
She has always loved dogs but because of work travel commitments could not have one for many years.
Jenny, 67, added: “It is such a rewarding job to me, to see how people develop the relationship with their dog.
“I was part-time in Glasgow Airport before the pandemic doing some work, but now I am practically full-time with the business.
“I am even back at school as I am studying to be a behaviourist in dogs and it is really interesting.”
