Former hotel bellhop pleads guilty to battery in Milwaukee man's death

A former Milwaukee hotel bellhop accused of taking part in a dogpile that killed a man pleaded guilty Thursday to a reduced charge of misdemeanor battery, his attorney said.

Prosecutors initially charged Herbert Williams with being a party to felony murder in connection with the June 2024 death of D'Vontaye Mitchell outside the Milwaukee Hyatt.
