Motherwell hero Stephen Craigan reckons his former club should go after Neil Lennon as their new boss if the former Celtic and Hibs boss is interested in the vacant managerial position.
The Northern Irishman has spent two stints in charge of the Parkhead club and won countless trophies both as a player and boss alongside a strong stint in Edinburgh at Easter Road. His last spell at Celtic drew fierce criticism from fans after their bid for 10-in-a-row collapsed spectacularly. He is now over in Cyprus with Omonia Nicosia, who he is preparing for a Europa League play-off against Belgian side Gent.
Craigan's former club are hunting a new boss after parting ways with Graham Alexander and he reckons Motherwell should ask the question. Lennon took over as Hibs manager in 2016, guiding them to the Championship title then a fourth-placed Premiership finish before leaving in 2019. The former defender told Go Radio: "That would be a big coup for Motherwell to get Neil Lennon.

"When it was first mentioned I thought no chance. However, if there is something contriving towards him getting it I think Motherwell fans would certainly take that.
"I would imagine if Motherwell thought they had an opportunity to get Neil Lennon they would push the boat out for him. I've no doubt that they would push the boat out for him.
"We don't know anything, it's just the names come up in the conversation. But if you're asking the question 'would Neil Lennon be a good appointment for Motherwell?' Absolutely."
