Matt Hancock has announced he will stand down as an MP at the next general election.

The former Health Secretary took to social media today to reveal that he will not be standing at the next national vote, which is due to take place in 2024.

Hancock, who was heavily criticised for appearing on I'm A Celeb this year, wrote to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak informing him about his intention to stand down.
