Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt wants you to stop writing codes, says the era is already over

The era of typing code line by line is officially coming to an end — at least according to former Eric Schmidt CEO Eric Schmidt. Speaking at an industry conference in a video shared by the Special Competitive Studies Project, Schmidt said Artificial Intelligence has triggered a massive shift in software development, and developers who fail to adapt risk falling behind fast.

Schmidt claimed the transformation began accelerating late last year as AI coding systems became dramatically more powerful. His message to engineers was blunt: if you're still coding the same way you were six months ago, you're already outdated.
