The 51-year-old former glamour model cut a casual figure as she wore dungarees and no make-up, while smiling confidently at the camera in the selfie on Instagram.
Melinda, who is known for her trademark blonde tresses, asked her 63.1k followers for advice and colouring tips.
She captioned the post: "Well like the trees leaves change their colour through the seasons so do we. Do I blend out the blonde or grow it out slowly?
"Any advice from my hair dresser friends and #silversisters welcome #silverhair #greyhairtransition #greyhair," Melinda added.
Followers were quick to shower the model with praise, with one person writing: "you look beautiful."
Another person said: "It's actually lovely like that. The purple olaplex shampoo is brilliant."
A third fan said: "Grow it out and embrace what's underneath."
One follower advised: "I had 2 lots of blond highlights to transition to grey. You will rock the silver," with Melinda thanking her for the remark.
Melinda responded with a heart emoji when one person said they loved her new look.
The star rose to fame after she was spotted on a billboard for a windows company in Swindon in 1997, and worked alongside models such as Katie Price.
The mum-of-three broke up with her husband Wayne Roberts in 2012 and last year said she wanted to start dating again.
Her most recent public romance was with Chris Harding, who she met in 2018, on a charity version of Channel 4's First Dates. However the pair later called it quits.
Last year Melinda said she was prepared to pay a pretty penny to join exclusive dating agency, Sara Eden Introductions.
At the time, Membership fees started from £4995 per client but reportedly ranged up to as much as £25,000.
Melinda told OK! magazine: "I’m starting to think it would be quite nice to date. I would love to meet somebody but I am quite shy so I would never make the first move.
"I feel more open to dating now as the kids are all fine – it feels like the right time."
She went on: "I think dating sites would be a bit of a struggle, but I’ve never tried.
"I have been thinking I might join the Sara Eden Introductions agency, as that feels like a bit more of a gentle approach and they are local to me, so that’s a possibility. I just have to get over my fear of dating!"
Melinda has had famous men lining up for her in the past, including Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and Top Gun actor Val Kilmer, but turned both down.
She was more interested in Robert Downey Jr, known for portraying superhero Iron Man, she revealed in an interview with The Sun.
