Former Georgia WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint released

Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint has been released ahead of the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline. The Washington Commanders let go of Rosemy-Jacksaint, who had a relatively productive preseason.

Rosemy-Jacksaint hauled in seven catches for 77 yards this preseason. There’s a chance he returns to Washington as a member of the Commanders’ practice squad. However, the NFL is in the midst of a massive roster shuffle.

Rosemy-Jacksaint went undrafted in the 2024 NFL draft in a bit of a surprise. He signed a deal with Washington as an undrafted free agent.

Rosemy-Jacksaint can provide value to an NFL roster. He has reliable hands and is capable of winning jump balls. He can also contribute on special teams. He is an excellent run blocker.

Making an NFL roster as a wide receiver is very tough. The position has evolved a lot over the years and there’s a ton of depth at receiver in the NFL right now.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound wide receiver haul in 74 receptions for 1,028 receiving yards and seven touchdowns during his career at Georgia.
