Former Georgia Bulldogs running back Thomas Brown is now the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers. Brown’s first game as the Panthers’ playcaller also happened to be Carolina’s first win of the season.
Carolina defeated the Houston Texans 15-13 thanks to a last second field goal. Thomas Brown helped call the right plays to get the Panthers’ offense in position to attempt a game-winning field goal.
Carolina finished the day with only 224 total yards. However, the Panthers and rookie quarterback Bryce Young moved the ball when it counted the most.
Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich, who was previously calling the plays before the Panthers’ Week 8 game against the Texans, awarded Brown with a game ball for his efforts.
