Weddings have been in the air for Galway GAA players in recent months.
Gort and Galway GAA star Greg Lally married Mary Lee earlier in they year just over the border in the banner county.
The couple shared intimate details about the private ceremony and celebration with RSVP Live including how the couple's classic Irish hookup, Greg's "special" proposal and a disaster that could have ruined the day.
Lee revealed: "The ceremony was in my home church, The Church of All Saints in Co.Clare."
"Clodagh Lawlor and Gavin Caughlan were incredible as they did the church music. My sister Patricia did all our Mass booklets, and my own work colleague Claire sketched a beautiful picture of the church for outside the booklets and it was just so beautiful."
There was some poignancy to the RSVP interview as Lee revealed the heartbreak of not having her parents and Greg's brother Keith there. Gerry, Nora and Keith all passed in the years before the wedding.
Mary revealed: "You really realise how much you miss the people who are not there. I know we were being looked over as before I entered the church there was a butterfly with us and during the ceremony the butterfly stayed with us. That gave me such great comfort, knowing they were all with us."
