The last month has been fertile for Kentucky football fans. First, the Wildcats survived a spirited attempt by Texas A&M to lure away coach Mark Stoops—the winningest boss in program history.
On Wednesday morning, Kentucky added to its success by landing a former five-star recruit at the quarterback position: Georgia's Brock Vandagriff.
"Ready to get to work," Vandagriff tweeted, along with a mock-up image of him in the Wildcats' uniform.
A highly touted prospect when he graduated from Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Ga., Vandagriff saw the field sparingly in three years with the Bulldogs. He attempted just three passes combined in Georgia's two national championship seasons in 2021 and 2022.

In 2023, Vandagriff received an increased number of game reps—particularly against Kentucky. He completed five of seven pass attempts for 46 yards and a touchdown in a 51–13 win over his future team on Oct. 7.
“Mainly (I) just really like what they do on offense and knew that was something I wanted to be a part of," Vandagriff told On3 of his decision. "(Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Liam) Coen knows what he’s doing and I am ready to get to work.”
The Wildcats and Bulldogs are scheduled to meet next year in Lexington on a date to be determined.
