Former FA chief Adrian Bevington lands new role at Aberdeen

  • Adrian Bevington has been confirmed as new chief executive at Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen.
  • Bevington previously spent 17 years with the English FA, where he held the roles of Managing Director of England National Teams (Club England) and Group Communications Director.
  • He replaces Alan Burrows, whose shock departure for family reasons was only announced on Tuesday.
  • Bevington has also previously had two spells with Middlesbrough, and held positions with Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
  • Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack hailed Bevington as the “outstanding candidate” for the job.
