Former Everton star Richarlison labelled 'terrible' in bizarre dig after World Cup goals for Brazil

Former Everton striker Richarlison has been labelled as “terrible” - despite his recent match-winning performance for Brazil.

Richarlison left Everton in the summer to complete a £60million transfer to Tottenham Hotspur. His four-year stint at Goodison Park saw him score 53 goals in 152 appearances and become a fan favourite before his exit.

The 25-year-old is now starring for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar. His most recent performance saw him score both goals in his country’s group stage 2-0 win over Serbia.

One of Richarlison’s goals made the headlines, after he performed an overhead kick to open the scoring for Brazil. Despite this, though, a former Italian player is not impressed with the ex-Everton star.

Antonio Cassano, who made 39 appearances for Italy, has hit out at Richarlison by claiming the former Blues star is “terrible” and was not impressed with his goal against Serbia .

"I am a person who never denies what he says, and after what I have seen I confirm that Richarlison is terrible,” Cassano is quoted telling Bobo TV, via The Express.

“The second goal? The reality is that he controlled the ball poorly and he got that kick, while the other goal went to an empty goal.

“He has nothing to do with the other forwards in Brazil."
