Former Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti will be the next Brazil manager as he is set to take over for the Copa America in the USA next summer.
The Italian left Goodison Park after two years as he returned to Real Madrid following a two-year stint in the Spanish capital between 2013 to 2015. He boasts a 46.27 per cent winning record on Merseyside after winning 21 of his 67 games in charge of the Blues.
One of the most memorable victories for Ancelotti came across Stanley Park against rivals Liverpool as they ran out 2-0 winners ending their barren run at Anfield.
Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues confirmed that the 67-year-old will take up his first international coaching role. Fluminese manager Fernando Dinis was appointed the interim boss for the next 12 months until Ancelotti sees out his contract at the Bernabeu.

"His (Diniz) game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti," Rodrigues said. "We don't call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti."
The move will see Ancelotti manage some of his current Madrid players in Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Eder Militao plus former Everton striker Richarlison.
There has yet to be an announcement from Los Blancos while there has also been no terms of the takeover published. Speculation has surrounded Ancelotti's future in recent months suggesting he could be the replacement for Tite as he enters the final year of his deal with Real
Diniz will oversee the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup which kick-off in September with a number of massive encounters scheduled including their home clash with World Cup holders Argentina.
