A former Edinburgh funeral home has been transformed into a stunning local plant shop as the new site opened in Juniper Green last week.
Given many a purpose over the years, the building on Lanark Road had most recently been used as an undertakers, and prior to that had been an RBS branch. However, opening on Friday (August 26), the property looked almost unrecognisable as it opened its doors as a miniature garden centre.
Taken over by Merryhatton Garden Centre, who are known for their huge site in East Lothian, 'The Plant Shop' is the brand's latest site, focussing on house plants and garden trinkets.

Completely stripped back and redecorated, outside the shop customers are now treated to an array of flowers and pots on their way up the ramp to the front door, with many more stocked inside.
Undercover in the shop, the main room focusses on house plants, with the leafy jungle containing everything from hanging plants to tiny little succulents that could fit in the palm of your hand.
In amongst the greenery, the shop also have some unique trinkets and books for purchase, such as a bone china mugs, stunning ceramic pots and even some gardening and cookery books.
A side room also contains seeds, soil products and treatments for those with really green thumbs, with another adjoining room at the back of the building still to be unveiled.
Open seven days a week from 9am-5.30pm, you can find more on the Plant Shop by Merryhatton here.
