Connor Syme bagged his first hole in one on the DP World Tour in Munich at the weekend.
The 27-year-old scored the ace on the second hole of his third round at the BMW International Open.
That, combined with a strong showing during the rest of the round, eventually secured the former Dumfries and County player 14th tied on -6 for €26,342 and 39.6 tour points.
He said: “What a stupid game, honestly. I tripled the first and my caddie Ryan McGuigan was trying to keep me upbeat as it’s not how you are expecting to start the day, especially after feeling good from yesterday, when I finished well to make the weekend.
“It just shows you. Don’t get too annoyed and maybe good things will happen. To be fair, my shot at two never left the flag but, at the same time, you are never expecting it to go in. But it bounced and was on line for ages and, as it kept rolling and rolling, I was like: ‘Is that going to go in?’
“It’s been good to me so far this week – a two and one. Yeah, amazing and my first on tour. I think that’s my sixth now in my career.”
Syme is hoping to repeat his success at the British Masters this week at The Belfry.
This year’s tournament, which is hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, started yesterday with Syme playing alongside Callum Shinkwin from England and Jorge Campillo from Spain.
