A former detective said Nicola Bulley may never be found if she drowned in the River Wyre. Howard Millington also said third-party involvement was highly unlikely in the disappearance of the 45-year-old mum.
Nicola vanished on a dog walk in St Michaels on Wyre on Friday, January 27, with her phone found on a bench beside the water. A major search effort has been launched, with independent underwater forensic experts Specialist Group International drafted in this week.
As reported by the Mirror, retired detective superintendent Mr Millington said the case was "very bizarre" but was "probably going to end in a tragic outcome". He said officers would have moved quickly during the case’s "golden hour" to exhaust the majority of hypotheses and if she was potentially snatched or attacked investigators would have said by now.
