Former Corrie star Chris Fountain has been supported as he shared an emotional update after having a stroke.
The actor was supported by his former Coronation Street co-stars as he shared his impressive achievement.
The 35-year-old is best known for his role as Tommy Duckworth on the popular soap.
He said he feared "life as he knew it" was over when doctors discovered found had a Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) after a blood clot got lodged in his brain.
Chris suffered the mini stroke in August of last year and spent five days recovering in hospital in London.
Since then he has dedicated himself to raising awareness of the condition and trained for the London Marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association.
After he crossed the finish line he shared an emotional update to his followers.
Alongside a selfie, Chris wrote: "I DID IT!!!!!!! From having a stroke in August to running a sub 4 hour marathon. I am beyond proud of myself. THANKYOU to everyone who cheered, donated, ran with me and everything else in between. I’m so, so happy. Will never forget this feeling."
Chris posted a photo of himself holding his medal looking over the moon that he had completed the iconic marathon in less than four hours.
The actor's former Coronation Street co-stars went to the comments to write messages of support.

Richard Fleeshman, who played Craig Harris on the Cobbles, shared the raising hand emoji.
Chris found fame in 2003 when he played the role of Justin Burton in Hollyoaks before swapping Chester for Weatherfield when he joined the cast of Corrie as Tommy in 2010.
However, his acting career was derailed when he was sacked after a YouTube video emerged of him rapping to lyrics that implored violence against women.
At the time Chris apologised for the previous unearthed video.
He said he was "ashamed and embarrassed" about the language that he used, saying he did it during a "moment of madness as a young man".
