A former Coronation Street actor showed off his abs as he celebrates his 45th birthday.
Adam Rickitt played Nick Tilsley in the long-running ITV soap from 1997-1999 and then again from 2002 until 2004. During his time on the cobbles he was known for his blonde curtains and for being the heartthrob who stole Leanne Battersby's heart.
The character of Nick – Gail’s eldest son from her marriage to Brian Tilsley – has been in Corrie since his birth in 1981. As a child he was played by Warren Jackson until 1996.

Ben Price now plays the role following Adam's departure. Since leaving Corrie, Adam has played Nancy Osborne's ex-boyfriend Kyle in Hollyoaks. He has also had roles in Doctors and Shortland Street.
Now 45, Adam looks considerably different, with darker hair, and a goatee. On Thursday he took to Instagram to crack a joke about getting older.
Sharing a selfie, which showed off his abs, he said: "Obligatory gym pic...f*** you 45!". Many fans were quick to comment on the update.
Jackie said: "No way 45, more like 35", while Roger said: "Wow!" Sue said: "We need more music from you, I love I breathe again" and Dee said: "Happy Birthday Adam x"
Matt said: "You’re 45?? I thought you were in your 30s lol".
