Aiden McGeady knows a thing or two about the pressures of playing for Celtic, and enjoyed success while supported by a top goalkeeper in Artur Boruc.
It's to this end that the one-time Ireland internationalist – whose Celtic side reached the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League two seasons in-a-row in 2007 and 2008 – believes current Hoops stopper Kasper Schmeichel is an upgrade on his predecessor.
Joe Hart was, of course, lauded throughout his playing days at Parkhead, especially in his final year, but McGeady has been thoroughly impressed with how quickly the Denmark internationalist has settled into life in Glasgow.
Speaking on Sky Sports, McGeady said: "It was a very shrewd signing from Celtic. With losing Joe Hart, I think a lot of people were unsure who would become number one.
"But, with no disrespect to Joe Hart, [Schmeichel] has possibly been a bit of an upgrade, in terms of how good he is with the ball at his feet and the way that Celtic want to play."

McGeady added: "He's got great experience, he won the league at Leicester… and now he looks really, really settled.
"I think Joe Hart was a different kind of goalkeeper, possibly more of a vocal leader, but Kasper Schmeichel has been fantastic for Celtic this year."
